"Let's start off by saying I'm 23 years old haven't been to the dentist and 12 years needed quite a bit of work done.. when I came to this location a week ago I was very nervous and scared not knowing what's to come and afraid of the judgment of my teeth condition, but on my first visit was very surprised on how welcoming and nice front woman were Kelly and Jessica made me feel very welcomed. I was called to the back to meet Doctor Barrett and ms Gracie both amazing women getting right to work while making you feel right at home but also being like a mother and telling you what you need to do lol.. on my second visit I came in to get a root canal and three fillings I was there for 3 hours because it was very busy, it didn't feel like it though I was being talked to Non-Stop and they engage very well into their customers long story short they fixed my three front teeth cavities so now I can smile without feeling judged in a root canal that was needed I feel amazing and I love this location will never go to any other one...."- J.S. / Google / Nov 30, 2019

A weakened jaw can be the result of certain oral conditions, like gum disease, or following a physical trauma to your face. Atrophy can also weaken the jawbone if a tooth is missing for a length of time without replacement by a restoration like dentures, a bridge, or an implant. Bone grafting surgery gives your jaw the necessary strength to prepare you for dentures or a dental implant, but it's important to understand that the process will take time. Some procedures can take months to complete, but you will have a stronger jaw that will support your dental implant or dentures for better oral health. To determine whether you need bone grafting surgery, your team will obtain digital x-rays and perform a comprehensive examination during your initial consultation.
What to Expect
When you arrive for your procedure, we will ensure your total comfort by helping you settle in and then administering the sedation method discussed during your consultation. After the graft is prepared for placement, the oral surgeon will attach it to your jawbone through incisions made in your gums. Proteins and collagens are added to the graft to speed integration. Once the process is complete, the surgeon will close the incisions in your gums and clean your mouth to reduce the risk of an infection or other complications.
Your mouth will need about 6 – 9 months to heal as your jawbone will bond with the graft. During this time, it's important to maintain a good home oral care routine with daily flossing and brushing along with any products your MINT dentistry team recommends (for example, antibiotics or special mouthwashes). You need to attend follow-up appointments at MINT dentistry so we can monitor your recovery and determine when you can move to the next step in your treatment plan. To keep your mouth healthy after grafting, we recommend scheduling professional cleanings twice a year.
